The Southern Nevada Chapter of NevAEYC serves individuals working in early childhood education in the Las Vegas/Clark County area. They sponsor educational events, advocacy activities, special events such as the annual ECE Awards Night, and have regular membership meetings.

Week of the Young Child (WOYC)

The Week of the Young Child^® is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The purpose of the Week of the Young Child^® is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs

In April of 2022, our Chapter held a Family Fun and EC Career day at the East Las Vegas Library. More information to come once the 2023 event is finalized!

Annual Southern Area ECE Awards Banquet

Each year The Southern Nevada Chapter celebrates our field of professionals with a recognition dinner & awards banquet! It is always a night of fun and recognition that usually includes some pretty awesome door prizes.

The 2018 & 2019 Awards banquets were held at the Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel. Both events were fantastic! It was great to hear about all of the wonderful EC professionals in our community and celebrate their success with them! Unfortunately, we were unable to hold this event in 2020, 2021, 2022 but we are looking at other ways to show our appreciation for our hard-working Early Childhood Community!
